Why You'll Love This Mash-Up
Pizza and hot dogs are already delicious on their own, but combining them turns an everyday dinner into an instant crowd pleaser.
The air fryer cooks the dogs perfectly and gives you a melty, toasted finish without heating up the whole kitchen.

Ingredients You'll Need

- Hot dog buns (brioche or bakery-style hold up best)
- 4 beef or pork hot dogs
- ½ cup pizza sauce (plus more for dipping)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 slices of pepperoni (Can use mini pepperoni as well)
- Optional: grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, fresh basil for garnish
Step by Step Instructions
1. Cook the Hot Dogs
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Place hot dogs in the basket and cook for 6-7 minutes, turning halfway, until heated through and slightly blistered.
2. Sauce the Buns
While the dogs cook, split the hot dog buns and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce inside each one. This base layer keeps every bite saucy.
3. Assemble the Pizza Dogs
Nestle a hot dog into each prepared bun. Spoon a little more sauce over the top, sprinkle generously with shredded mozzarella, and crown with pepperonis.
4. Melt & Toast
Return the fully loaded dogs to the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F for another 2-3 minutes. Just long enough for the cheese to bubble and the bun edges to toast.
5. Finish & Serve
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or basil, add a pinch of red-pepper flakes if you like heat, and dig in while everything's melty. Serve extra pizza sauce on the side for dunking.
Pro Tips & Variations
Make it meat-lover's: Add crumbled sausage or diced ham before the cheese layer.
Go veggie: Swap pepperoni for sautéed mushrooms, olives, or bell pepper strips.
Cheese boost: Mix mozzarella with a little provolone or cheddar for deeper flavor.
Storage & Reheating
Leftovers (if you're lucky) keep in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 minutes, they'll crisp right back up.
Final Bite
Pepperoni Pizza Hot Dogs prove you don't need a pizza oven or even a stovetop to serve up big flavors. Fire up the air fryer, grab your favorite sauce, and turn a classic ballpark snack into a guaranteed conversation starter.
Of course you can always use your oven as well. Whatever you choose, just make them!
