How to Make Smash Burger Tacos
This smash burger taco recipe is all about quick cooking on a hot skillet, flat top griddle, or even a cast iron skillet-whatever hot pan you've got.
1. Prep the tortillas

I find it easiest to take a handful of ground beef and press them down into the flour tortilla. You want the edges of the ground beef to go all the way to the edge of the tortilla. (the meat will shrink some as it cooks)
2. Season the meat:

Season the meat with a nice layer of Salt, Pepper, and Garlic powder or try my All Day Rub which has a blend of salt, pepper, garlic, onion and butter. It's my go to for everything!
3. Cook beef side down:

Place on a hot griddle or large skillet, meat side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes to allow the beef to cook through and get a nice sear.
4. Flip it:
Flip and let the tortilla side crisp for another 1-2 minutes on the other side. Add a slice of American cheese right on top of the meat and let the cheese melt while the bottom crisps up.

5. Load it up:
Pile on your favorite toppings. I like shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, diced onions, and pickles. Drizzle with a burger sauce or just the classic condiments like ketchup and mustard if you want.
