How to make French dip sliders
Check out how I made these French dip sliders on my smoker. You can always do them in your oven as well. This should give you a good visual!
Any great slider needs a good base, and for my French dip sliders, I prefer using Kings Hawaiian slider buns. The rolls are the perfect size and they are already split and ready to go.
On the bottom buns, add a generous layer of provolone cheese.
Then two layers of roast beef and crispy fried onions.
And more provolone cheese if you like. You know I do!
Place the top buns back on and brush them with your savory Au Jus sauce, reserving some of it for dipping.
I don't know about you, but I can't get enough of cheese! For a gooey, melty delight, I sprinkle some shredded parmesan cheese on top of the buns. Once you've got everything sorted out, transfer the sliders to a baking dish or sheet covered with aluminum foil for easy clean-up.
To finish, place the sliders into your oven or smoker at 350°F for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted through and the tops of the buns have gotten toasted. Serve with a side of Au Jus sauce for an easy weeknight dinner or a quick party snack for a large crowd.

Ingredients
For Sliders:
- 1 package of Kings Hawaiian original sweet rolls
- 1 lb sliced roast beef
- ½ cup French's crispy fried onions
- 12 slices provolone cheese
- ¼ cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
For Au Jus:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Au Jus powder mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ cup of water
Instructions
- If making the Au Jus, mix all ingredients for it together in a small bowl until all of the seasoning has dissolved.
- Remove the top portion of your rolls and to the bottom rolls add 6 slices of provolone cheese, then top with two layers of roast beef, crispy fried onions and the remaining 6 slices of provolone cheese.
- Place the top rolls back on and brush on your Au Jus, reserving some of it for dipping. I also sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on top of the buns.
- To finish, place the sliders into your oven or smoker at 350°F for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted through and the top of the buns are nice and toasted.
- Cut into individual sliders and serve with extra Au Jus for dipping.

Oh my goodness! I made these for my family last night and they were SO delicious! We doubled the recipe and only had two sliders leftover (and my oldest child at them for breakfast).
