Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of 6 Frozen Corn Dogs
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Mustard
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt, pepper, garlic powder blend (Or my All Day Rub)
- 1-2 tablespoons BBQ Seasoning (Or my All Night BBQ Rub)
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat olive oil and sauté diced onions with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until softened (5–10 minutes).
- Add the ground beef and break it up while it cooks. Season with your BBQ rub and cook until browned.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar. Simmer on medium-low until the mixture thickens for a few minutes.
- Cook the frozen corn dogs according to package directions (typically 350°F for 20–30 minutes). Let them cool slightly.
- Remove the sticks and carefully butterfly each corn dog by slicing down the center without cutting all the way through. Open them up gently.
- Fill each corn dog with a spoonful of sloppy Joe mixture and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place the stuffed corn dogs under the broiler for a couple of minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
- Garnish with chopped chives if desired and serve immediately.
- Cook Time: 30 minutes
