Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 2 cans sliced peaches (1 drained)
  • 2 sticks butter, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 shot bourbon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
  2. In a cast iron skillet, combine the peaches, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, and bourbon.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches. Do not stir.
  5. Cover the cake mix with pats of butter.
  6. Smoke for 1 hour at 225°F.
  7. Increase the temperature to 350°F and cook for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.
