Ingredients
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 2 cans sliced peaches (1 drained)
- 2 sticks butter, sliced
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 shot bourbon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- In a cast iron skillet, combine the peaches, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, and bourbon.
- Stir to combine.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peaches. Do not stir.
- Cover the cake mix with pats of butter.
- Smoke for 1 hour at 225°F.
- Increase the temperature to 350°F and cook for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let rest for 10–15 minutes before serving.
