Total Time:45 minutes
Yield:12 sliders
Ingredients
Chicken Sliders
1 pack King's Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 tablespoons chicken seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
Marry Me Sauce
1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
2 tablespoons butter
Parmesan Butter Topping
2 tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon Grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Chopped parsley
Instructions
Preheat the broiler to low and season the chicken thighs evenly with chicken seasoning.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat then add the chicken thighs and cook until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F, then remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Keep the crispy chicken bits and drippings in the skillet and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and stir over medium heat.
Add the heavy cream and cream of chicken soup, then stir until smooth.
Add Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, and parsley, then reduce the heat to low and stir occasionally until the sauce is creamy and heated through.
Slice the King's Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, keeping the rolls connected and place each half cut side up and lightly toast under the broiler on low.
Layer the chicken and provolone cheese evenly over the rolls.
Place the sliders under the broiler for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the broiler and drizzle the Marry Me sauce over the cheesy chicken.
Place the top half of the rolls over the chicken.
Mix melted butter, grated Parmesan, and chopped parsley together and brush the Parmesan butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
Place the sliders back under the broiler until the tops are golden and toasted.
Cut the sliders apart and serve hot with additional Marry Me sauce for dipping.
Notes
Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Keep the heat low when finishing the sauce to prevent the cream from scorching.
Watch the sliders closely under the broiler.
For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan.
Extra Marry Me sauce can be refrigerated and reheated for serving.
