  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 20 Poppers

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz block of cheddar cheese
  • 10 Bacon slices
  • 9 ounces Whipped cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place a wire rack over a rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Slice the tops off the jalapeños, cut them in half vertically, and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. Cut the cheddar block into pieces about one inch long.
  4. Spoon whipped cream cheese into each jalapeño half and press a piece of cheddar into the filling.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with bacon and sprinkle with BBQ seasoning.
  6. Arrange the poppers on the wire rack and bake for 15–20 minutes, or longer as needed until the bacon is fully cooked and reaches 165°F.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Wear gloves when handling jalapeños if you're sensitive to capsaicin.

  • Bacon thickness and pepper size will affect cooking time.

  • For crispier bacon, allow extra baking time as needed.
