Ingredients

- 1.5 cups of chopped brisket
- 1 cup diced yellow onion
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Dice yellow onion. In a pan on medium heat, add olive oil and onions then sauté for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and softened.
- Chop brisket and add to the onions and continue cooking for 3 more minutes until the brisket has warmed through and the edges start to crisp up.
- Add the remaining ingredients and reduce the heat to medium low to simmer for 15 more minutes. The jam will reduce and should thicken.
- Allow the jam to cool for 5 minutes before adding to burgers.
