- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon salt, pepper, and garlic powder blend (or use All Day Rub)
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1 tbsp BBQ seasoning (or use All Night Rub)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water (optional, if needed to thin sauce)
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- Optional toppings: coleslaw, crushed potato chips, or pickles
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add diced onions and sauté for 5–10 minutes until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (or All Day Rub).
- Add ground beef to the skillet. Break it up and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed. Season with BBQ rub.
- Stir in ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
- If the mixture is too thick, add a little water to reach desired consistency.
- Lower the heat to medium, cover, and simmer on low for 10–15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve on toasted buns. Add optional toppings like slaw or chips for extra flavor and texture.
- Enjoy immediately or store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
