With ingredients like gochujang and hoisin paired with parmesan cheese and garlic, these creamy spicy ramen noodles with shrimp is amazing!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of large shrimp (thawed, peeled, and deveined) 
  • 2 packs of ramen noodles  
  • 2 limes 
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic 
  • 2 tablespoons hoison
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium) 
  • 1 tablespoon of Gochujang 
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese 
  • Toasted sesame seeds (Optional Garnish) 

Instructions

  1. Heat grill to medium heat or about 350°F
  2. Place shrimp into a bowl and drizzle on 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Then season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked paprika. Squeeze the juice from half a lime. Allow the shrimp to marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge while you also soak skewers in water. 
  3. Skewer the shrimp and grill 2-3 minutes on each side. Finish with a squeeze of lime juice. 
  4. Boil a large pot of water. Add the ramen noodles and cook uncovered for 5 minutes. Drain, but do not rinse. 
  5. Meanwhile, heat a large sauté pan on medium heat. 
  6. Add butter and minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. 
  7. Then add the hoisin, soy sauce, gochjuang and heavy cream. Stir until smooth and incorporated. 
  8. Stir in the chopped parsley and shredded parmesan cheese.
  9. Add in the shrimp and noodles making sure that everything is coated and warmed through.
  10. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve with lime wedges.
