Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of large shrimp
- 1 package of kielbasa sausage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt, pepper, garlic blend
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet Thai chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon of sriracha
- 2 tablespoon sliced green onion
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Peel and devein your shrimp. You can also remove the tails or keep them on if you prefer.
- Slice kielbasa sausage into 1/2 inch pieces. Wrap 1 shrimp around 1 piece of sausage so the shrimp forms a "C" around the sausage and then thread onto the wooden skewers.
- Drizzle shrimp and sausage skewers with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Make the bang bang sauce by combining mayonnaise, sweet Thai chili sauce, sriracha and honey together.
- Grill skewers on your griddle or grill over medium high heat. Flip them occasionally to prevent them from burning and to cook evenly. Once the shrimp is cooked to 165°F the skewers are safe to eat.
- Brush the bang bang sauce onto skewers and grill for an additional minute on each side allowing the sauce to caramelize. Remove from heat.
- Garnish the skewers with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Reserve some bang bang sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
