Ingredients
For the Fries
- 1 (28-ounce) bag frozen French fries
- 4 slices American cheese
For the Grilled Onions
- 4 large yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
For the Burger Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Bake the frozen fries according to the package instructions until golden and crispy.
- While the fries bake, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onions and season with salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and sauté until the onions are soft, golden, and reduced.
- Transfer the cooked fries to an oven-safe bowl or dish.
- Top the fries with four slices of American cheese.
- Broil on low until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the broiler and top with the sautéed onions.
- Drizzle generously with the homemade burger sauce.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
